Health data startup Komodo Health announced Vikas Mehta is joining the company as its chief financial officer. Mehta previously held the position of CFO at Nike Direct during the pandemic and had finance-related roles at Walmart, Microsoft, and PayPal.
Sarah Shin will also join Komodo as its new chief people officer. Shin previously worked as chief diversity officer for data and analytics platform Cloudera and held senior leadership roles at Apple, Apple Health, LeapFrog and Hewlett Packard.
The company said Mehta would work to strengthen Komodo's finance and operating models, while Shin will focus on talent acquisition, organizational design, training and development, employee experience, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Sesh, a virtual mental health platform that offers online support groups led by licensed therapists, announced Lauren Sumrell was promoted to chief operating officer from her previously held role of vice president of clinical operations.
As COO, Sumrell will oversee the company's network operations, member support, revenue growth, clinical services delivery, data operations and client success.
"Sesh is in a state of hyper-growth, and it is critical for us to operate like a mature but gritty team," Sumrell said in a statement. "I am looking forward to achieving big goals here at Sesh and anticipate that our successes will only multiply as we bring the power of group support to more and more people."
Tech-enabled behavioral health company for commercial health plans, Lucet, announced the appointment of Brian Doheny as its new chief operating officer.
Doheny previously held leadership roles at Humana, UofL Health, Ascension and CommonSpirit Health. At Humana, he was vice president of Medicare trend and innovation and guided the expansion of value-based programs.
"At a time when consensus can be difficult to achieve, there’s general agreement that the industry can do a better job meeting the needs of those with mental or behavioral health issues. Through its relationships with large national health plans, its technology platform and proprietary Behavioral Health Index, and frontline team of experts, Lucet is well-positioned to effect change at-scale," Doheny said in a statement.
In 2022, behavioral health provider New Directions Behavioral Health merged with digital behavioral health platform Tridiuum. Earlier this year, the companies announced the formation of Lucet, which would focus on optimizing behavioral health for health plans.
