See-Mode receives ANZ approvals for its AI breast, thyroid imaging solution
Melbourne-based See-Mode Technologies have recently obtained regulatory approvals in Australia and New Zealand for its AI-powered breast and thyroid ultrasound solution. It is now looking to work with healthcare providers in the region to deploy its software technology.
See-Mode uses AI to detect lesions in ultrasound images, which are then assigned with classifications. The application generates sonographer worksheets with lesion classifications and diagrams that are automatically sent to PACS and preliminary impressions which are sent to radiology reporting systems. The software allows for quick comparison between new and old scans, being able to automatically highlight lesion changes.
See-Mode's first deal in Canada
These latest regulatory clearances follow See-Mode's market approval in Canada in November. Four months later, the company secured its first partnership there with healthcare and radiology service provider Clear Medical Imaging.
Based on their deal, See-Mode's solutions will be implemented in phases, starting with its vascular product and followed by the AI-powered breast and thyroid imaging solution later this year.
PowerHealth develops new interface to drive costing studies in aged care
PowerHealth has created a new automated interface that provides aged care providers with the ability to understand the true cost of their service delivery.
It has collaborated with Contact Harald to integrate data from residents and staff, which are captured by Bluetooth-enabled cards and bracelets, with PowerHealth's activity-based costing system, PowerPerformance Manager.
With this new interface, aged care providers are able to calculate bottom-up costing and delve into specific areas including costs by facility, classification, resident and by component of cost, which drives informed data-driven decisions. They are also able to calculate a cost per day per aged care resident to compare against the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model.
"Our application automates the collection of the data required for costing studies, making the process as inexpensive and as frictionless as possible, which is critical for the ongoing sustainability of the industry. Our joint technology renders this achievable through [the] increased ease of use and automated data capture of resident interventions," explained Contact Harald CFO Nick O’Halloran.
