Digital therapeutics company Twill, previously known as Happify Health, is partnering with e-Psychiatry to offer virtual access to psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists.
Conn.-based e-Psychiatry's services will be offered as an element of Twill's Sequences, a platform made up of digital therapeutics, community groups and coaching aimed at mental health conditions and pregnancy.
Twill is pitching the new partnership as a way for patients with higher-acuity needs to connect with clinicians when necessary.
This is the company's second collaboration that aims to pair patients with human coaches or providers. In July, Twill announced a partnership with the health coaching ecosystem YourCoach Health to provide access to cross-specialty health coaches.
"We see partnering with e-Psychiatry as an opportunity to turn the patient journey into a continuum by increasing the velocity of accessing care and breadth of treatment options for our higher acuity patients," Twill's Chief Medical Officer Murray Zucker said in a statement.
THE LARGER TREND
In March, Twill entered into an agreement with healthcare services and pharmaceutical company Zuellig Pharma in Asia to commercialize two of its prescription digital therapeutics – Ensemble, which treats major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, and a prescription digital therapeutic for chronic insomnia.
In June, the digital therapeutic maker announced its partnership with neuroscience-focused pharma company Biogen to create a digital engagement and education platform for multiple sclerosis patients.
